Fatal Crash: 24-Year-Old ID'd As Victim Near Long Island Intersection

Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash near a Long Island.

A 24-year-old was killed after his Jeep left the roadway and struck a light pole near a Long Island intersection, police say.

It happened around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Brightwaters.

According to Suffolk County Police, the victim was driving a 2018 Jeep westbound on Union Boulevard near Johnson Lane when his vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane, left the roadway, and struck a light pole.

Bryant  Dorman, age 24, of Babylon, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Suffolk County PD Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
